This sale is for a used Commodore Amiga A500 computer. This was arguably the most popular Commodore Amiga computer. This particular unit came from a video production studio and was used as a teleprompter!
The unit is used but is working great! Everything is fully functional, except for the add-on RTC module which has a leaky battery. The corrosion from the battery has spread to the physical connector on the Amiga which means that the new owner should remove this corrosion ASAP! The floppy dive reads very quickly and Workbench 1.3 starts up right away! The 512k additional Fast RAM on the RTC board is recognized in Workbench (as pictured). The mouse is clean and works great through the computer\'s serial ports. The keys on the keyboard all work but the right ALT key doesn\'t spring up completely (meaning it can be a bit touchy if you accidentally hit it). The mono video port is a little \"touchy\" and might need a solder touch-up to be 100% reliable (Video drops out only if you move the unit a lot). RGB output looks unused but is untested. RCA audio outs work great. The parallel port also works great! The PSU is reliable and has never had issues under my ownership. Kickstart 1.3 is installed on the unit.
Visually, the unit is in very good condition. No cracks or scratches and the unit very presentable. There is some dust/dirt by the rear heat fins. There are signs of use, with some dark surface scratches on the bottom of unit. There is also some light sticker residue on the top of the unit by the Amiga logo (which should be able to be cleaned off easily). There are some letters written next to the ports on the back of the unit which match letters written on the (included) accessories.The warranty stickers have also been broken...although the unit is far out of warranty now. :)
I\'ll also throw in a floppy (copy) of SmoothTalker (teleprompting software) with autobooting Workbench 1.3 on it which should get you up and running.
