Provides \"lights out\" management of a remote or headless server over the network from a web browser. (Similar to the iLO function provided on other HP servers.)
Specifically, this card allows a virtual console to be run remotely that allows the server to be operated from the earliest stages of the boot process (including BIOS settings etc.), just as if a monitor and keyboard were connected. Power management is also featured, allowing the server to be reset, or powered on or off remotely. The card also allows the remote connection of a virtual CD image, allowing the server to boot from that image. Full installation and management of the server is therefore available remotely.
