Let *MY* mistake be to *YOUR* advantage! This server worked flawlessly for ~18 months until a botched CPU upgrade damaged one of the sockets. A used replacement board didn\'t work, and neither did a fresh factory refurbished ones. I simply don\'t have the time to mess with this server anymore. It can probably be easily fixed, or used as spare parts for another identical server, or even parted out and sold for a nice profit! I\'m simply attempting to recoup a small part of the money I put into it.All parts are genuine IBM OEM parts! The full server is including, including:
- Factory refurbished motherboard/planar installed- Used motherboard/planar (if not wanted, I won\'t ship)- Original 1100w PSU- Chassis- Rail kit- 8 (empty) 3.5\" hot-swap drive trays (sorry, HDDs *NOT* included!)- All ports (4xGigabit Ethernet, 2xUSB 2.0, VGA, serial port, 100BT management port)- LSI-based IBM ServeRAID M1015 SAS/SATA controller- 64GB of registered DDR3 RDIMMs (16 x 4GB)- 64 cores (4 x AMD Opteron 6380 16-core 2.5Ghz processors)- 5 hot-swap fans (with redundancy)
The planars by themselves cost $1500 *each*, the CPUs were another $800! Unit is in *GREAT* shape physically. Very high quality build. When working, this server makes an awesome VM server, due to the high core count. System is entirely UEFI-based and can be completely administered remotely via the iBMC, including KVM-over-IP!
Again, if you don\'t want the (questionable) used planar, I won\'t include it.
I also have *2* Chelsio T420-CR 2x10GE CNAs that were installed in this server. I\'ll be happy to include 1 or both to the buyer for $45/each if wanted! These CNAs/NICs are in perfect shape and guaranteed to work.
Since the server itself won\'t currently power on, it is being sold AS-IS!
Shipping is slightly high due to the weight of this server, due to the amazing build quality. It includes professional packing and shipping insurance!
