Please read this Boilerplate:I apologize to my customers for having to read this, but in a world where a small numberof people have an out sized sense of their abilities it is necessary. If you have NO experience in PC assembly, orotherwise are unfamiliar with the parts, and workings of the inside of a PC then you should not offer on this item. I amthorough in my testing, and the configuration I ship is exactly what I\'ve tested. After you\'ve received the MB combo, putit in a case (with at least one screw holding it in), attach a monitor (preferably VGA to test), plug in both power supplyconnections correctly, and turn it on - it should POST with no problems. If you don\'t get this behavior then immediatelycontact me through . There will never be a situation where you have to: mess with the DRAM; need to remove theheat-sink; remove the CPU so you can inspect it away from the motherboard; change the jumper settings; or not use oneof the two required power supply connections. Unfortunately I don\'t have the original manual to send with the board, and blocks me from placing a link in the text, but if you purchase this board do a search for \"Intel DQ77MK\" and you\'ll find alink to the manual on the Intel web site in the first five results. Having the manual is worth the five minutes of effort. Also: this is a uATX size motherboard, if you are putting it in a full size ATX case - check your standoffs! I have had severalcustomers tell me they put this board in a full size case and a standoff was touching the back of the board and groundingout the power rail. So remove any standoffs that don\'t line up with a corresponding screw hole in the motherboard.End Boilerplate
This motherboard was ahead of it\'s time. It has all of the advanced Intel technologies you would find on a just released motherboard. It has USB 3.0, and SATA III at 6Gb/s with built in Intel RAID 0,1,5,10 for secure data storage. It has a TPM for key based security - all separatefrom the OS. It has AMT so you can manage it from anywhere in the world, including: remote access with TLS encryption built into the chipset (desktop or command shell); remote shutdown and boot - even into the BIOS to changesettings; remote imaging; hardware/inventory control. It has all of the vPRO features that really make a difference in a qualitysystem: VT-d virtualization - hardware support for virtual machines, Anti-Theft, Rapid Storage, ...
Many customers, who use their PCs for gaming, have asked me if I have any \'Z\' chipset based motherboards. If you comparethe block diagrams of the Q and Z CPU/chipsets you will see that the connection topography is almost identical betweenthe two. The differences are:The Z has multiple PCIe x16 channels connected directly to the CPU, where the Q has asingle PCIe x16 port attached directly to the CPU; the Z has potentially eight DIMM channels, the Q has four, but bothboards have the same 32GB limit. Performance-wise the extra PCIe and DIMM channels are the only potential advantagethe Z chipset has over the Q. In every other metric of capability and usability - this Q platform meets or exceeds the Z. Soif you are using a single graphics add on card and four or less memory sticks - the \'Q\' chipset will provide the sameperformance as the \'Z\' platform.
This motherboard was removed from an industrial environment. It has been fully load tested (prime95 28.5) fortwelve hours in the configuration shipped. I have not verified that every port and header on every motherboardis working correctly. If you worry about it not being perfect then you should buy new parts. I have no reason tosuspect that any motherboard I sell has any problems with it, however if you encounter a problem that preventsyou from using the combo in your application I am happy to exchange it for a replacement motherboard combo.
NOTE: If using a video card with this motherboard: I have pre-set the BIOS configuration so that a PCIe video card canbe added without the buyer needing to change any settings - this will give the video card the full PCIe x16 mainline data-pathto the CPU. However, if you purchase this combo get it running before you add the video card so you can verify nothingwas damaged in shipping. Once you add in the video card, the motherboard should automatically pipe the POST to thedisplay attached to that card.

My goal is to provide quality material to my customers at a reasonable price. Computer electronics can be damaged by users easily without malicious intent. I test everything I ship, in the configuration I ship, so I know it works. However, things happen - if you have a problem I will do everything I can to work with you so that we are both happy in the end.
