I chose for parts only however this computer DOES post. It\'s just missing a hard drive and battery if you install a hard drive and operating system it would work fine. Another reason that I chose for parts is it does tend to get hot. I suspect the thermal paste has lost its usefulness and needs to be repaired.

another issue to have concern: The laptop gets hot quick under load , I believe the Thermal paste on the CPU needs to be cleaned and reapplied fresh.
