Hello Apple fansUp for sale is an rare first edition MacTerminal boxed software set for the original 1984 Macintosh. This is an amazing find and a true must-have for the vintage Macintosh collector. I bought this brand new some years ago and have taken great care of it.
The set is 100% complete, as it came from the factory. Check the pictures and see the quality yourself...even the little stickers ("Valuable subscription offers inside" and "This software runs on all Macintoshes") are included on the front of the package.There is just a tiny bit of yellowing/staining on the top flap of the box, but the rest is pure white and without rips, tears or signs of manhandling! The white interior tray is pristine and uncracked. Even the interior "picasso' logo is bright and crisp as it was when the box was first printed in the 80's!
The diskettes are original with the correct labels. There are two included, and I believe both worked when I last used them a few years ago. The instruction manual is pristine and unused...unbelieveable condition. Even more interesting is the mail-in card that the buyer could send in to get a a final version of the manual in the correct 'wired binding' which were common for 1984 Mac software.
The real bonus is the myriad of pamphlets and brochures for the various online services of the time. You get all of them and in new shape: Compuserve, The Source, MCI Mail and Dow Jones. Such a great little time capsule of information related to online computing back when home computers were still a relatively new thing. Obviously this software is nearly 40 years in age, so this is being sold as a historical collectable. I make no guarantees that the disks still work, but I have no reason to believe they shouldn't since they've been stored in favorable conditions.
