This was made for an old mainframe supercomputer ~ likely Control Data 6600. The information written on the cemetery portion includes “CDC”, and a date of “5-9-66”. It is 31 inches in diameter. This one has been stamped “Rejected Surface”, so it was probably never used. There are some splotchy areas on the surface, which is probably why it was rejected. There are also light scuffs/scratches, which are likely from being moved around occasionally over the past 50 years (or so). The words “Rejected Surface” are only on one side of the disk. The last photo is not this disk, but a nearly identical one which someone made into a coffee table. I have not yet constructed a shipping crate, so it make take around 5-6 days for me to prepare this for shipment.
