Original IBM PC Network from 1985 - for 5150 PC, 5160 XT and 5170 AT - Rare:
$100.00

Here is the original IBM PC Network from 1985. This was IBM\'s first LAN solution for the PC, and even predates Token Ring. It was intended specifically for the 5150/5160/5170 family. This set is for two PCs, and includes all the original hardware. Also included is the IBM Local Area Network Support Program, which lists the original PC Network as being supported, complete in its vinyl folder with both disks.

Cosmetically everything is in very nice condition. One of the adapter cards is missing the paper cardstock cover over the processors. There is nocorrosion on either of the adapter cards, with just some minor oxidation to the brackets and the RF shields on the back sides. There are a few small, minor scuffs on the Translator Unit, but it\'s in overall nice cosmetic condition. Would look really cool beside a matching IBM PC!

A very rare and interesting part of original IBM PC history and PC networking in general. It took me forever to find all this, but I am no longer into vintage PCs and it\'s time to let it go to someone who will appreciate it more.

READ: this is 30-year-old vintage hardware and software, and I have no way of testing any of it, therefore it is being sold entirelyAS-IS withNO warranty or guarantee.

Included are:
2x) PC Network Adapter - 6450213
1x) 5178 PC Network Translator Unit - 5178001
1x) 120V Transformer for Translator Unit - 6450238
1x) Translator Connection + original cables to connect both adapters to the Translator Unit
1x) Local Area Network Support Program - 83X7873
(also included is a print out I made of the jumper settings for the Network Adapters)
