This is the fastest CPU upgrade kit for the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 Apple Mac Pro 5.1.
This kit comes with everything you will need to turn your Mac Pro 4,1 or 5.1 into a Twelve Core 3.46GHz system.
You will also be able to use the new OS X High Sierra with this Intel Xeon 3.46 GHz (X5690) Matched Pair HEX (6) Core CPUs.
These X5690 CPUs and the X5680 CPUs will also allow the use of faster 1333MHz memory.
If you have the 2009 version of the Mac Pro and have not upgraded to the 5.1 firmware yet, you will need to download and install the 4.1 to 5.1 firmware before installing these CPUs. It\'s very east to do and just ask and I\'ll send you the links for the download and a firmware installation video.
