VINTAGE ECONORAM GODBOUT COMPUTER RAM - S-100 - CP/M - Z80 ALTAIR IMSAI RARE:
$99.99

This sale is for a very rare Northstar Computer. We did not power it up due to its age but it seems to be complete. Case is missing screws! We have one more just like this one but we think it may be a Prototype. It will be listed soon. The NorthStar Horizon was a popular 8-bit S-100 buscomputer introduced in October 1977. Like most S-100 machines of the era, it was built around the ZiLOG Z80A microprocessor, and typically ran the CP/M operating system. It was produced by North Star Computers, and it could be purchased either in kit form or pre-assembled.[1] The NorthStar Horizon was one of the first computers to have built in floppy drives [2] as well as being one of the first computers to have a hard disk drive.ManufacturerNorthStar ComputersTypePersonal ComputerRelease dateNovember 1977Introductory price$1899 Assembled$1599 as a KitDiscontinuedEarly 1980\'sUnits sold10,000-100,000+Operating systemCP/M, NorthStar DOSCPUZ-80 @ 4MHzMemory16K or moreStorage5.25 floppy drive(s) holds 90KB eachDisplayMonochromeGraphicsText Mode onlySoundNonePowerIntegrated 250W P.S.U.Dimensions50.8 x 44.4 x 18.4 cmWeight20 kgSuccessorNorthStar Advantage
