This is from my old machine that I just upgraded with new parts, and this is no longer needed. It currently has Linux Mint as an OS, but that can easily be reformatted. Note that this is a PATA connection HDD and the cable will be included. Western Digital has a proven track record as an excellent brand, and anybody who gets this, once the connection issue is solved (if it needs to be) will be getting a great little piece of gear.
