Bought this as a replacement for an existing IPIBL-LB motherboard that came with a HP Q6700 quad core motherboard I thought was bad. Received this board and it worked just fine, but I did realize that there are several versions of the board. This one had a few less options than the original from the HP machine, but worked fine with a Q9400 CPU and my existing memory. For $20 a very reasonable replacement.

This is a great replacement board and I have done a lot in my time This time it's a replacement motherboard going into a HP Pavilion Elite m9457c Desktop PC, System Model Number: FK886AA ABA m9457c,with a Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600. This Motherboard like other HP models uses the same (Asus IPIBL-LB Benicia-GL8E) motherboard in different types HP systems. I love this board.! If you have the same motherboard in your system and in order for your system to work right with the same replacement motherboard. You must transfer your original System Model BIOS over to replacement motherboard. I use a thumb drive to save download of the AMI Flasher Utility on it. Make copies and save all Original System Model Motherboards Bios on same said drive as a backup. Give it a file name that you know and don't mix them up. Now plug in thumb drive in your old motherboard, run the program to copy and save that "bios rom" on the drive. Now plug in thumb drive in your replacement motherboard and run program again. This time open the saved "bios rom" to FLASH the BIOS on your replacement motherboard. If you don't you can call people like me to help or you will have to buy a new windows operating system or a key. HP recovery restore disks will not work on a different System Model Number motherboards.. It has to match to what you have so flash it to make it RIGHT..Read full review

Added another fan or two, 8 gig of ram, win 7, so far all the drivers have installed and everything tests out OK. waiting and being behind pays off, if you can stay behind the jones that is. my next upgrade will be ddr3 gigabyte motherboard. Right now I want to enjoy the differences, I can compare the two speeds side by side. Being happy just workng up the ladder.
