myDOS360 provides the GUI to run the first operating system that was available for the revolutionary IBM System 360 computer introduced in 1964. This is a basic and easy to use OS that has COBOL, FORTRAN, RPG, and PL/1 compilers. Everything needed to run it is provided in an easy to use GUI.
myDOSVS lets you run authentic IBM mainframe DOS-VS/POWER Rel 34 (from 1974) on your PC with ease. DOS/VS is z/VSE\'s great grandfather. myDOSVS is a Java program that provides an integrated environment in conjunction with the open source Hercules mainframe emulator providing a single window with several tabs for each major function that would normally require a separate program. This setup is suitable for hobbyist and students that want to compile and run COBOL, FORTRAN, PL/I, RPG, and System/370 assembler programs. VTAM is set up and ready to run, an example terminal application assembler source is provided along with an IBM 3279 emulation tab for your terminal. VSAM file access method is included. It also has the DITTO system utility program installed. It is not suitable for replacing a real mainframe with z/VSE however. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, 8, and the new Windows 10, and Linux. Instructions are provided to install and boot the OS, submit your first job, start VTAM and run the example, and then shut it all down cleanly. Example compile jobs for COBOL, FORTRAN, PL/I, RPG, and Assembler are provided.

myMVS lets you run the colossal IBM MVS 3.8J operating system from 1980. This is a large and compilcated OS that ran airline reservations systems with thousands of terminal connected to a single computer while at the same time handling accounting, billing, inventory. It\'s successor, z/OS runs most large corporate IT needs today. Of course you are not going to hang 1000\'s of terminals off a PC but it is the same operating system and lots of fun to play with. It has TSO time sharing option. There are quite a few compilers with example JCL & source included: ALGOL ALGOL68C COBOL FORTRAN GPSS MORTRAN PL/1 PASCAL SNOBOL4 SIMULA PL/360 Assembler / ASSIST Student Assembler RPG. I have just added the 1979 version of the SUPRTREK game (a text based Star Trek game), one of the very first computer games conceived. Also installed is the UNIX Snake game. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, 8, and the new Windows 10, and Linux. Instructions are provided to install and boot the OS, submit your first job via the card reader, start TSO and submit an example, and then shut it all down cleanly.

myMVT lets you run the Multiple Variable Tasks (MVT) IBM operating system on your PC. MVT is the predecessor to MVS and as such is much simpler and easier to master. This version has the HASP spooling system and the first TSO product that IBM introduced. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, 8, and the new Windows 10, and Linux. Instructions are provided to install and boot the OS, submit your first job via the card reader, start TSO and submit an example, and then shut it all down cleanly.

myVM370 lets you run the IBM VM/370 operating system from 1974 on your PC with an easy to use GUI. VM/370 is z/VM\'s great grandfather. The VM/370 system supplied is known as the \"Sixpack\" and has many compilers and features. The Sixpack is a well developed usable VM370 system. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, 8, and the new Windows 10, and Linux. It comes with two 3279 emulators for the system console and VM user. Instructions are provided to install and boot the OS.

myMTS is a GUI for running the Michigan Terminal System (MTS) that was developed by the University of Michigan from 1966 thru 1996 to provide services for students and staff at their campus locations throughout the state. U. Mich has made it available under the Creative Commons License (details included in a file on the CD). This system has all sorts of esoteric compilers such as GPSS, LISP, Prolog, and many others. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, 8, and the new Windows 10, and Linux. The average student sees it from an interactive terminal session point of view. The GUI includes a Hercules console, MTS system console, 3270 terminal for user login, card facility, and a print facility. Instructions are provided to install and boot the OS. There a few example compiler jobs included (does not cover the entire range of compilers available).

VBBlue3270 is a 3270 terminal emulator that can be used to connect to MVS TSO or VM370 as a normal user would in a mainframe shop. You can have your myMVS or myVM370 running in your basement computer room and connect to it with this terminal emulator from anywhere else in the house, or if you adjust your home router/firewall the internet as well. It runs on Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, 8, and the new Windows 10, andLinux.

As an additional perk, I now include the java VintageBBS telnet client on the CD. This allows you to connect to the over 300 bulletin board systems still operating in the US. The presentation has the same proportions as the old style PC monitors in use in that day. It includes a search feature to find the 5 closest BBS\'s to your specified ZIP code.

All 6 come on a CD setup and ready to boot, a 32 and 64 bit Hercules Windows installer, the Hercules source tarball for building on Linux, and the Java runtime environment installation package for Windows. For Linux the Java runtime would need to be downloaded from Oracle or installed from your repository.

Shipping is free via USPS First Class Mail worldwide. I ship to PayPal verified addresses only. Total cost is $34.95, paid via PayPal only. If you are not satisfied you may request a full refund without the need to return the CD as long as you do so within 14 days of purchase.
