Vintage Apple Macintosh II Computer Replacement battery holder 1/2 AA LS 14250.

These battery holders are brand new. They are used to replace the dead batteries soldered onto many different versions of old Macintosh computers and I’m sure ones of other manufacturers as well. A Macintosh II among others will not power on with dead batteries on the motherboard. Instead of resoldering new batteries it is best to go with a socketed battery holder for easy removal and replacement.

People who don’t use their machines all the time or have them in storage would be best to remove them to prevent them from leaking. This way allows you to do just that. You will need some basic soldering skills along with a soldering iron and some flux and solder but I am a beginner(ish) solderer and I was able to do it first try. Otherwise find a friend who can solder it for you if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself.

The sale is for 3 battery holders and does not include the batteries themselves or anything else. Just the holders. Most computers need 2 but I’m selling a pack of 3 in case one gets damaged during installation.

You may have to carefully straighten the legs of the holder to reach both solder points. I used a needle nose pliers to reach the contacts. The spacing is slightly off for the Mac II but it will reach. Just be careful when doing it.

Thanks for looking!
