I’ve done a little bit of work to this machine. The original version of this machine came equipped with 2gb of ram, a 320gb HDD and a disc drive. Currently, this mid 2010 Mac mini is equipped with two storage drives; one 250GB SSD and one 750GBHDD. The disc reader was removed to make space for the second drive (it stopped working anyways). It also has been upgraded to 8GB of ram.
A new copy of macOS High Sierra has been installed on the SSD, so startup for this machine is pretty quick!
For those that don’t know, the max resolution for this computer is 1440p with a thunderbolt cable.
I would have continued to use this computer if I didn’t get a good deal on a 2014 Mac mini.
This Mac mini makes for a great server (plex) or general workhorse, but may have difficulty running multiple applications while also playing a video.
Included with the Mac mini is the power cable only; it’s up to you to get a monitor, mouse and keyboard!
One final note - the SD card reader stopped functioning with the update to High Sierra... you probably shouldn’t be editing photos or video on this computer anyways.
