Selling my previous high-end gaming rig / productivity workstation. Great build and value for someone looking for a complete build that\'s still up to snuff with today\'s technology, paying well below current value, and to also have a build that can be easily upgraded, modified and tweaked as desired.All parts very well maintained and components such as CPU and GPU have never been overclocked.
This build was put together in Q1 2017 and has been one of the most solid builds I\'ve used to date. Primary function is that of a high-end gaming rig that can run all current and upcoming AAA titles at max settings and at higher resolutions / refresh rates. Additional use-cases were for home VM lab and other intensive productivity tasks. This build can handle ANYTHING thrown at it.
Included with this custom build are also additional peripherals (keyboard, mouse and speakers) and higher quality sound card (details below).
The only thing not included with this build that is for sale is a display, however I consistently ran games such as Battlefield 1, Destiny 2, The Division, etc... on both 34\" 2K ultrawide (3440x1440) @ 100Hz well over 100 FPS (in-game counters register much higher but with 100Hz display refresh rate, that\'s the max value that would matter). Similar gaming on a 27\" 2K 2560x1440 display @ 144Hz produced similar results with FPS consistently matching the display\'s 144Hz refresh rate.
The 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6850K (Broadwell-E) is capable of being overclocked to 4.00GHz if the desire is there to do so. Also, the amount of PCI-Express lanes available directly to the CPU (40) allow for plenty of additional PCI-Express devices to be added in and used without any issues (such as a second GTX 1080Ti for SLI, additional NVMe drives, etc...). Most other CPU models (mainstream platforms) only have 16 PCI-Express lanes available.
