Custom, Completely Maxed iMac 27\" · $400+ in upgrades!
This is a great computer that keeps pace with daily tasks and still has a lot of life left in it. Big upgrades keep it feeling responsive and speedy. Never had any issues with it. Traveling more now, so I\'m switching to a docked MacBook setup. The iMac is no longer needed and is better off being put to use by someone new. Sad to see this go!

I added a 1TB Crucial SSD drive (in addition to the original 1TB HDD) and 32GB of Crucial DDR3 RAM. Made for a dramatic improvement over the base set-up. The CD/DVD drive stopped working before I upgraded the SSD so it\'s been removed for the dual drive setup. I have MacOS installed on the SSD and use the HDD as an internal, Time Machine backup device. MacOS has native access to the HDD for file storage too. At one point, I fused the two together for a working Fusion Drive but later separated the two for faster performance with the SSD. The SSD is formatted with Apple\'s new APFS for even snappier storage.
The RAM and SSD upgrades are worth over $400 alone and less than 1 year old.
Currently wiped clean a fresh version of High Sierra installed.
