WORKING Vintage IBM PS/2 Model 55 sx 386 (8555) Intel 386sx Computer DOS:
$299.99

Listing is for an IBM Personal System 2 Model 55SX. The floppy drive reads disks and I was able to install MS DOS. The hard drive also works great - no clicks, unusual noises, etc. Scandisk showed no bad clusters when I tested it. The computer boots to MS DOS 6.22.
Physical condition is very good overall. There are some marks and scratches on the metal case, as well as some light yellowing (mostly on the front), but the exterior is still very nice. These are minor cosmetic issues and do not affect the operation of the computer. The pics do a good job of showing physical condition.
These are the system specs:
386SX Processor (16 mhz)2MB RAM3.5\" 1.44mb floppy drive30mb Hard DriveMS DOS 6.22Parallel ports are untested.
Please note the following disclaimers:***This is an old computer (roughly 30 years old) and as such I cannot guarantee functionality beyond what I have tested. I cannot guarantee that the buyer will be able to expand the system, install new software or hardware, etc.******I found no issues with the floppy disk drive or hard drive when I was setting up and testing the computer. However, very old floppy drives like this are known to have trouble reading some disks, especially if formatted in newer computers, and can sometimes be picky. Please understand that it is normal to have trouble reading some disks. I have only been able to test as far as installing MS DOS and a couple of games to test graphics and sound.******Please note that this machine uses Microchannel MCA expansion slots. These are not the same as typical ISA slots. ISA cards will not fit and are not compatible. Neither will PCI expansion cards. MCA versions of most cards are available on , however.***
sale is for the PC only and does not include any keyboard, mouse, monitor, cables, etc. You can connect a standard PC power cable, regular PS/2 keyboard and mouse, and VGA monitor connection. I will include a power cable if I can find a spare one.
If you are in the continental US, shipping price includes full insurance and a signature will be required on delivery.
